Power lines

The Dallol Project will require a 35MW electricity power supply
Connection to the national grid has been chosen as best option
A 180km and 230 kV power transmission line, funded by the African Development Bank, is completed by Ethiopian Electric Power (“EEP”) to connect the Dallol Project to the existing grid at Mekele, with a local sub-station at Dallol with last finishing works to be done
Ethiopia power generation is mainly provided by clean hydro power, supplemented by wind
The construction of the transmission line and sub station for US $ 56M is funded by AfDB

Lowland roads

Port

Final product to be exported from the newly built port of Tadjoura in neighboring Djibouti
The 40 hectare port which is dedicated to potash exports, was inaugurated in 2017
Total investment to build the port amounted to $78 M by Djibouti government
